MayDay, MayDay

Hello!

1st of May is an international holiday. It has a several meanings, but in my country it is  a  International Workers’ Day. And for us who were born after the communist era, it’s a great reason to have a party. Not just any party, but a big one, with the barbecue and everything. For our parents, it was a celebration of their strength, of them selves… But that’s all gone now. now it’s just  a holiday we all like because on that day we are allowed to party like never.

So, the 1st of May is coming pretty fast, but I haven’t decided where to celebrate it. I mean, none of my friends have, and we are all together every year, making barbecue, drinking wine, bear, listen to some music… well, basically, having party. It’s not much different from other parties we have together, but it’s kind of a special day, and we always have to have barbecue. And we usually know where will we be by now. This year, nothing… Nobody is saying anything about it, nobody is asking…Like it’s not in three weeks, but in three months… I don’t like that. I’ll have to start a talk about it. We can’t let the spirit of working class freedom die. We have to keep it alive, no matter how hard it is to get up at 5 am.
