A day after May day

May day went almost unnoticed. It’s been raining all day, and it was so cold and windy, you couldn’t go out without a jacket. And I did’t get used to that.

I remember, a couple of years ago, it was so hot, that I went swimming in Danube for May day. I was meeting my friends at the beach, they were having a picnic and I had to go to work…So I decided to stop by on my way to work, even if it’s not nowhere near my work route, but I didn’t care, I wanted to see them, to have a drink and chat for a bit. And I was going there by my bike, so it didn’t really matter that it’s not near my work. By the time I got there, I was soaked with sweat. Luckily I got my bikini on me, and some thin, summer dress, so I just jumped into the water, and chilled for a little while. That felt sooo good. Later, I just hanged my dress over some branches, and it went dry literally in couple of minutes. Until I had a bear, I was dry, my dress was dry, and I could go to work… I love that kind of days. When you just jump on your bike, or seat in your car, and do whatever you want to do.

And on rainy days, I can only sleep. And eat.

So, since this 1st of May was a rainy day, I stayed in bed. But I decided to throw a dinner for my friends on the 2nd of May.  I bought some pork, some zucchini, mushrooms, tomato…Rosemary, of course, because, you can’t make pork without rosemary. And some secret ingredients… Mmmmm, it was delicious. I even found some really nice wine to go with it. When my friends came, they were delighted. I didn’t told them what to expect, I just called them to come over. It was a good evening. A good night, and a great dinner. My true friends, my soulmates… they were all here, we were having such a good time, talking, and laughing… I realized one thing. It doesn’t matter if we are related by blood line, we are still family, no matter what and no matter where we are.
